Spring:
In the spring time we will be fishing the channel islands focusing our efforts on catching White Seabass ,Calico Bass, Yellowtail, and Halibut. March 1st is the rockfish opener so we will have the option of catching these great eating fish. After April 1st Lingcod season opens as well. |
 |
Summer:
During the Summer months as the water warms we generally start to see better action on Yellowtail, Seabass, and Calico Bass. We will also start catching Sand Bass, Barracuda and Bonita along the coast which is perfect for our local ¾ day trips. This is definitely our busiest time of year so plan your trips in advance. |
 |
Fall:
In the Fall we will start fishing offshore for pelagic species such as Albacore Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Dorado and Yellowtail. Also in the Fall months, we will be fishing the outer banks such as Cortez bank and Tanner bank for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna,Yellowtail, Bonita, Sheephead, Whitefish and Rockfish. This time of year is a favorite among anglers because of the fair weather and good fishing. |
 |
Winter:
During the winter months we will be running Rockfish and Lingcod trips to the Outer Islands. These are called freezer specials, this is your chance to load up on tasty fillets before the January 1st closures. In January and February our time is spent doing boat work and maintenance; getting the Outrider ready for the upcoming season. | |
